TSMC's board of directors, meeting at its Japan Kumamoto fab, approved a record NT$206.14 billion (approx. $20.6 billion USD) in employee bonuses for 2025. This marks the highest annual bonus pool in the company's history.
Based on approximately 78,000 eligible full-time employees at the end of 2025, the payout translates to an average of NT$2.64 million (approx. $264,000 USD) per person—a year-over-year increase of over 30%. This amount rivals several years of salary for many professionals.

This extraordinary bonus is backed by TSMC's exceptionally strong financial performance in 2025. The company reported record annual revenue and net profit, providing the foundation for the generous compensation package. Approximately half of the total bonus has already been distributed quarterly as performance incentives, with the remainder scheduled for payment in July 2026.
Separately, the board approved a new capital expenditure budget of NT$44.96 billion for advancing manufacturing processes, expanding advanced packaging, and building supporting facilities.
